OU vs Mizzou

Columbia, Mo - Two great extra inning games as 14th ranked Mizzou swept the series from 15th ranked Okahoma University but not without a fight from the Sooners.  The first game went 9 innings until Mizzou's Abby Vock hit her third home run of the year, putting the Tigers up 3-2.  In game two, Mizzou's Nicole Hudson singled in Vock who scored the solo run of the marathon 11 inning - 3 hour and 13 minute game.

Noteworthy updates from the weekend series:

Oklahoma Sooners:  Keilani Rickets threw 19 innings with 29 stike outs.  Sooners best day at the plate was Friday where Destinee Martinez went 3-for-4, Chanae Jones 2-for-3, and Dani Dobbs was 1-for-3.  Sooners are 33-13 overall and 6-5 in the Big 12.

Missouri extended the nation's best home winning streak to 32 straight games while improving to 35-5 on the season.  Chelsea Thomas pitched all 20 innings for the Tigers with 1 earned run and 34 strike outs (17 each game). Hudson had a huge weekend at the plate, hitting .500.  She went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in game one before going 3-for-6 with the game winning RBI in the finale. Tigers moved to 35-5 overall and 9-1 in conference play.
