    The purpose of a softball throwing progression is to maximize your throwing abilities and to minimize the risk of injury. This is possible by gradually increasing the intensity of your throwing until you reach your peak distance and speed. This will warm up your muscles and strengthen them at the same time. A softball throwing progression is a crucial exercise for fastpitch softball players because it reduces the risk of many injuries, but it also heightens your throwing ability.
